Travel Tips
Staycations are all the rage these days. But what exactly are staycations? Staycations are vacations but without ever having to step out of your city or town.
You may think that staycations are not worth it, but I’m here to tell you that it is the best. Maybe even better than vacations. Vacations are stressful and a hassle to plan. Sometimes it takes months of planning even to book a ticket. And after returning from your trip, you’ll probably be jet-lagged and tired but still have to get ready to go back to the everyday routine of your life.
So why not avoid all the pre-vacation and post-vacation stress. Check into a hotel in your town and just relax. Do everything that you do on vacation like take a tour of the city, eat good food, spend some time discovering yourself, go to places you’ve never been to before. All these without going out of your town. What’s not to love about staycations?
Ready to find out why staycations are getting popular day by day?
Just imagine not having the anxiety of having to book plane tickets, standing for hours in lines at the airport or having to spend most of your vacation day figuring out travel time is always a downer. If you have kids, it’s a nightmare getting them to behave and travel quietly without disturbing others.
With staycations, you can vacay in your home town without having to leave your home as it requires minimal travel time. There’s no need to travel for hours on end just to get from one place to another. Most staycation spots are either a short 20 or 30-minute ride away. You don’t have to waste any more time waiting around or on travelling.
Going on a long vacation is just not feasible due to budgetary issues. To help minimize your stress over budgeting for travel, opt for staycations. You won’t have to worry about shelling out on plane or train tickets. You can save a ton of money by just booking a hotel nearby and spending a weekend relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of your daily life. A 3-day impromptu staycation saves more than a 3-day trip to a holiday destination.
Taking a staycation is all about giving yourself some much needed “me-time”. There are no distractions. No urgent meetings, no family or friends calling or texting you for every small inconvenience they face. You can log off from your everyday life to rejuvenate yourself. Staycations gives us a great excuse to do just that without having to leave your entire life and work behind. Take a full spa day, sit by the pool, binge-watch your favorite show, read a book, or do some fun activity that won’t stress you out.
The city is yours for the taking. All that work and no play has probably made you dull and lifeless. Take time out for a staycation and rediscover the love for your city or town. Explore new places and fall in love again with your favorites. Splurge on that fancy new restaurant you’ve wanted to try out but never got the time or that museum you’ve always wanted to explore. Take a walk around the city. You’ll be surprised by the number of things that you can see and do.
If you’re looking for a break from your everyday life without having to leave town, a hotel staycation is just what you need!
