The Hôtel d'Assézat, a Renaissance hotel particulier, is home to the Bemberg Foundation, a significant art gallery in Toulouse. One of the most significant private art collections in Europe is the Fondation Bemberg. Drawings, sculptures, paintings, old books, and furniture are all part of Georges Bemberg's private collection, which spans his life from 1915 to 2011.
With Nabis, French impressionism, post-impressionism, and fauvism paintings, notably from the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as Venetian paintings from the 16th and 18th centuries, the paintings and sketches might be considered the collection's highlights.
While the second floor features artwork from the impressionist through expressionist schools of thought, the first floor is filled with historical paintings, statues, furniture, and decorative items. Along with some smaller pieces by Pissarro, Sisley, and Egon Schiele, there are sketches by Picasso and Toulouse-Lautrec.
